Andrew McCleese (Andy) is a Cincinnati “Eastsider”, who went to Turpin High School and then University of Cincinnati College of Business with a degree in Information Systems.

Andy got into craft beer in 2011 with his homebrew friends and took up all-grain homebrewing in 2014. After winning gold and silver medals at the Oktobersbest Homebrew competition, he decided to hang up the homebrew towel. He started out only liking malty beersa nd starts but has since become a 90% IPA drinker. He confesses that he is a haze bro.

Brink Brewing Co. was founded in Andy’s garage in Delhi after deciding to put all of his money eggs in one basket - the craft beer basket. Owning a bar had always been a dream and in 2014 the brewery landscape was wide open. Maybe Brink could be the next neighborhood establishment!

Andy is an active father with two kids, Gunnar and Alex. He was deeply obsessed with his flowing golden locks but chopped them off in the Summer of 2023. It would have been sooner had the Bengals won the Super Bowl. When he’s not with his kids or hanging at his bar, he might be spotted at a Waffle House, shopping for guitars, practicing with his band, hiking, fishing, or in the midst of a heated debate about who the hell knows what… 

Andy is an active member of the College Hill community and is focussed on the revitalization of the business district. Brink Brewing Co. has been a huge part of just that.
