After last year's contest judging, full-time writer and editor Stephanie Meinberg officially now considers herself a pie connoisseur, a title she's aspired to since she was 12 thanks to her grandmother's sweet tooth and homemade pies. Presently, Meinberg is the editor of Loveland Lifestyle magazine (a passion project that lets her uncover, share and write about all things inspiring in the Loveland and Symmes areas). She edited both the Senate and Orchids cookbooks, and has written feature articles about the local craft beer scene for Cincinnati Magazine and the Cincinnati Official Visitors Guide. She's also still (still!) trying to master the perfect from-scratch pie in her own kitchen (it’s all about the crust).

College Hill Cakery Team:
This College Hill mother-daughter trio has been creating cakes and other baked goods since 2014, and has enjoyed sharing and selling their products. Each has a different area of expertise, but has always shared a love for baking. They have been producing and selling cakes to Ruth's Parkside Café in Northside (where their Original Gooey Butter Cake was named 4thBest Dessert in Cincinnati Magazine), Gaslight Bar and Grill in Clifton, and others. College Hill Cakery does custom orders for special occasions, birthdays, and weddings, and is very enthused about opening a storefront and being apart of the exciting redevelopment of College Hill.
Our Brink judging representatives! Mark Landers, one of our owners and founders has earned his spot at the table by winning the annual pie eating contest at Fibonacci Brewing the past 2 years. And Debbie Jean (also known as mom), who has one heck of a sweet tooth and would skip any meal for just dessert.
Entries will be judged on appearance, texture and taste. Judges do not know the entrants’ names until after the judging is complete.
